Making Spaces Marketplace is an exciting concept for retailing handmade. It is a pop up shop, filled with mini pop up shops and some semi-permanent stock, and we would like you to be a part of it!
Making Spaces Marketplace is a boutique style space - part retail store, part showcase - giving designers a unique opportunity to display and sell their own products on a temporary basis in the heart of the Parramatta CBD. Space can be rented for as little as one day, providing an ever changing array of handmade goods for sale.
Our philosophy is based on the idea of "makers helping makers" and our aim is to generate continued support of each other within the handmade community and promote our work to the wider community at the same time.
We offer two separate trading options - daily showcase style for those who can attend the store and a more traditional retail style for those who can’t. Space can be rented for as little as $20 per week.
Making Spaces Marketplace is a project developed under the Pop Up Parramatta initiative. As such, we have been issued with 30 day rolling lease agreement. This means that we know we have our project space for 30 days at a time. When 30 days have passed, if the shop isn’t required by the owner, we may continue to remain there for a further 30 days. Our concept has been designed to be portable - a true “pop up” store - so *if* we have to vacate, and another suitable venue is available through Pop Up Parramatta then we can easily transfer to another space.
